Blog post 5 - My future job
Hello everyone!
"Job" is a word that all of us almost always bear in mind (or need to?) why?... it is not necessary to take a long time to answer that simple question: we need to work for a living! and we will probably apply for a job that will offer good working conditions and a good salary but...a big "but" ...what about if you get a job that you do not enjoy or you do not like doing?
First, I think there is a difference between the word "job" and "career". Essentially, a job means time and money, a career is a concept that involves you and what you expect to be doing throughout your working life! That is why this period of preparation is so important for you and it has been for all of us.
Second, in my opinion it is not an easy task to think about a future job but it is a good opportunity to reflect and dream a little bit.
and... what about a dream job? (take a look at this short video to see some people´s experiences)

Now, reflect about your future job and say:
· What kind of job would you like to have? How do you imagine it?
· Outdoors /indoors?
· Would you like to travel a lot in your job?
· What about the salary?
· What major are you studying / are you thinking of taking? Explain why
· Add any other related ideas.

Never occurred to me to contrast what is a "job" and what is a "career", and now that you exposes both of them like this I can definitely see that there are differences... I also think that a "career" has a lot to do with vocation, but we will not always find this in a "job"...
ReplyDeleteSo interesting reflect about what you exposes!.
Take care :).
ReplyDeleteI would be lying if I said that I did not think about my work even before I started studying, because since I finished high school I have been in different jobs to pay for my studies and buy tickets to the concerts I wanted to go to. but now I´m positive about working
regards! <3
When I read the difference between "career" and "job". I went like: 0-0. I saw no difference (before)
ReplyDeleteI saw the video and it made me a little sad to hear all the people say that their job is not the job of their dreams but it is the closest to reality. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity at least to choose what until now would be the job of my dreams
ReplyDeleteIt's difficult to have a dream job, but that is the beauty of dreaming and giving your best in life.
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting idea to think about the difference between "work" and "career", I have never taken the time to think about that. I think it is a very interesting reflection! Personally since I was little I have dreamed of having a job that contributes to society, and now I strive to achieve it n.n ♡ Greetings ♡

Oh, I think that is very important to resalt de difference between job and career, because in some cases we need to have a job for pay our careers, or maybe we have a career but we don't have a job with this career
ReplyDeleteHi miss, thanks for the opportunity to reflect about this topic so important. On the other hand, it was surprising to see the fact that majority of the people don´t have the job that they really love, I hope this could change in some future.
